Brazil's fiscal receipt prize programs distribute tens of millions in prizes

The municipality of Balneário Camboriú launched the Nota Premiada BC program on 1 July 2026, offering a total of R$ 100 000 in 40 prizes ranging from R$ 1 000 to R$ 30 000. The initiative, promoted by Mayor Juliana Pavan and Treasury Secretary Magda Bez, aims to encourage consumers to request fiscal receipts, formalise local businesses and boost municipal revenues.

In the state of Paraná, the Nota Paraná program scheduled two prize draws for Thursday, 9 July, with a combined payout of R$ 10 million. The draws will award two R$ 100 000 prizes, two R$ 50 000 prizes and 200 prizes of R$ 1 000, alongside additional awards for participating social entities. Over 86 000 citizens and around 1 600 institutions are expected to receive prizes, reflecting the program’s emphasis on fiscal awareness and the return of ICMS credits to consumers.
