Brazil's food festivals attract crowds in Balneário Camboriú and Nova Iguaçu
The Balneário Saboroso festival in Balneário Camboriú will run its final days through Friday, 31 July, featuring 37 participating restaurants offering full menus for a fixed price of R$ 119. The event showcases a wide range of cuisines—including Italian, Japanese, Arabic, Mexican and seafood—alongside pet‑friendly, vegetarian and delivery options. Organisers also offer an exclusive gift set to visitors who check in at three different restaurants.
From 31 July to 2 August, Shopping Nova Iguaçu will host the Festival de Fatias in the Arena da Pedreira, presenting the viral “super slices” cake trend. Dozens of confectioners will sell generous 400‑gram cake portions designed for Instagram sharing, with free entry for the public. The festival highlights a new business model for small bakers nationwide and adds to the city’s summer gastronomic programming.
