Brazil's Foresea reports $1.8 bn backlog as Latam evaluates BNDES credit line

Foresea, a Brazilian offshore drilling firm based in Macaé, announced a US$1.8 billion backlog and strong second‑quarter 2026 results, including US$174 million revenue and a 52% EBITDA margin. CEO Rogério Ibrahim highlighted the company's rapid growth, contract expansion and a fully booked fleet through 2027.

Latam Airlines Brazil is reviewing a new BNDES credit facility that could provide up to R$8 billion to support liquidity amid rising aviation fuel costs. CEO Jerome Cadier said the line is intended as a working‑capital aid rather than an investment source, noting the airline already has natural foreign‑exchange hedging through its international operations.
