Brazil's IFRN and UFRN launch new graduate courses for educators and aerospace engineers

The Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) announced 160 free specialization slots in education and humanities across its campuses in Caicó, Mossoró, Pau dos Ferros and São Gonçalo do Amarante. Applications are open until 14 June 2026, with selection based on curriculum analysis and academic performance; no written exam is required. At least half of the seats are reserved for public‑school teachers and affirmative‑action quotas apply for Black, mixed‑race, Indigenous, disabled and quilombola candidates.

The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) opened 15 places for a master's program in Aerospace Engineering. Registrations close on 19 June 2026 via the Sigaa system. Admission combines an eliminatory written test with curricular evaluation. The allocation includes 10 open‑competition spots, three for PPIQ candidates, two for people with disabilities and three supplemental seats for university staff. Classes are slated to begin on 10 August 2026.
