Brazil launches July 2026 Bolsa Família payments and raises INSS pension floor to R$1,621

The government’s Bolsa Família program will start disbursing July 2026 payments on July 20, with payouts scheduled according to the last digit of each family’s NIS number. The benefit guarantees a minimum of R$600 per family, but amounts can rise to R$1,050 for households that have three children under six years old, thanks to the First Childhood Benefit of R$150 per child and other supplemental allowances for pregnant women and adolescents.

Separately, the INSS announced that the pension and retirement minimum will increase to R$1,621 starting in 2026, aligning with the national minimum wage. The new floor applies to retirees, pensioners and other beneficiaries whose gross entitlement was previously at the prior minimum of R$1,518. Deductions such as loans or taxes may reduce the net amount received.
