Brazil's July 2026 Moon Phase Calendar

On Friday 10 July 2026 the Moon is in a waning phase, moving toward a New Moon. The waning began on 7 July at 16:29 (BRT) and will continue until the New Moon occurs on 14 July at 06:43 (BRT). The reduced illumination makes the night sky favourable for binocular and telescope observations, highlighting craters and mountains.

The day before, Thursday 9 July 2026, the Moon was in the third‑quarter (waning quarter) with about 41 % of its disc illuminated. It rose before dawn, remained visible through the morning and set in the early afternoon.
