Brazil's July charity ultramarathon and Fortal festival race draw runners in Santos and Fortaleza

The Run for Love project held its sixth edition, a 110 km ultramarathon between Santos and Itariri in the Baixada Santista region. Founded by a group of ultra‑marathoners in 2021, the event is non‑competitive and aims to collect food supplies for vulnerable populations.

On 19 July 2026, the inaugural Corrida do Fortal took place in Cidade Fortal, Fortaleza, offering 5 km and 10 km courses. Integrated into the 33rd edition of the Fortal music festival, the race welcomed professional athletes and amateur runners, with trophies awarded across age categories. Registration was conducted through the Sportic platform.
