Brazil's Liberal Party Holds Rio Seminar to Boost Digital Strategy for 2026 Elections

The Liberal Party (PL) staged its third National Communication Seminar on 3 July at ExpoMag in Cidade Nova, Rio de Janeiro, aimed at preparing the party’s digital operations for the 2026 elections. The full‑house event gathered party leaders—including national president Valdemar Costa Neto and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro—state deputies, the president of Alerj Douglas Ruas, former Belford Roxo mayor Márcio Canella, influencers and digital strategists.

Workshops covered advertising, reach, content production and the use of artificial intelligence on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. A legal panel addressed recent electoral‑court rulings on social‑media use. Participants discussed tactics involving short videos, live streams, messaging groups and segmented content. Valdemar Costa Neto warned that “the battle for voter attention will be central,” while Douglas Ruas said “our battlefield will be social networks.” Flávio Bolsonaro declared the party “stronger than ever” and urged militants to amplify party agendas online.
