Brazil's Luxury Tourism Market Shifts Toward Curated Experiences
Strategist Thiago Fernandes, founder of the consultancy Caasei, says the high‑luxury sector is moving away from overt ostentation toward a "curated economy" where seamless, personalized experiences replace rigid protocols. He notes, "the market needed less bureaucracy and more truth. Luxury today means lightness and feeling completely at ease," and adds that true elegance is shown when "the operation flows perfectly and no one notices the effort behind it."
Meanwhile, PS Carneiro will host the 13th edition of the "Turismo no Luxo" conference on 19 August at Av. Paulista 1009, São Paulo. The event will gather luxury‑tourism operators, airlines, cruise lines, premium hotels and brands to discuss market growth, AI‑driven strategies, and emerging Asian destinations such as Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Japan and Taiwan. Speakers include Pilar Osorio Garabosky on AI in tourism, Érica Leitão on executive aviation, Carla Caldas on Asian market trends, and Mari Sakata on Japan & Taiwan hospitality innovations.
