Brazil's Major Events Offer Expanded Accessibility Measures in 2026
The Brazil Game Show (BGS) announced that on October 12, 2026 — Brazil's national holiday — visitors with disabilities will receive free admission. Attendees must present recognized documentation, such as the BPC card, INSS disability retirement proof, a medical report with CID, or a special disability identity card, to qualify. Accompanying guests are entitled to half‑price tickets in line with Brazilian law.
At the same time, the 2026 edition of CASACOR São Paulo, the continent's largest architecture and design exhibition, will feature extensive accessibility infrastructure. The venue will provide wheelchair‑friendly ramps, elevators serving multiple levels, nine adapted restrooms, tactile maps, audio description, and on‑site Brazilian Sign Language interpreters. These measures aim to accommodate visitors with mobility, visual, and auditory impairments, reinforcing the event's long‑standing commitment to universal design.
