Brazil's Mato Grosso do Sul Health Forums Discuss Policy and Innovation
The 10th Municipal Health Conference in Sorriso gathered 364 participants to debate "Health, Democracy, Sovereignty and SUS" with mayor Alei Fernandes and vice‑mayor Acácio Ambrosini emphasizing universal health access and the need for public input to shape municipal, state and national health plans. Delegates will forward proposals to the upcoming state conference in Cuiabá and the 2027 National Health Conference.
Later, the LIDE Saúde Cassems Forum at the Fiems building brought together business leaders, physicians and innovators to stress the role of management, technology and sustainability in Brazil’s health system. LIDE‑MS president Aurélio Rocha and Cassems chief Ricardo Ayache highlighted Mato Grosso do Sul’s potential to pioneer modern, efficient health models, while speakers from nutrition, radiology and endocrinology underscored prevention and healthy work environments as key to productivity.
