Brazil's Mato Grosso region sees temps swing from 9°C to 34°C

The state of Mato Grosso do Sul and the city of Cuiabá experienced rapid temperature changes as a cold front moved through the region. Forecasts show minima as low as 9 °C in Paranhos (south) and highs up to 34 °C in Corumbá, Campo Grande and Cuiabá, while earlier in the week daytime temperatures reached 31‑37 °C.

The front brings cloud cover and isolated thunderstorms, with rain expected in Campo Grande and other localities. Brazil's National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued a yellow alert for low humidity, advising residents to increase fluid intake, avoid strenuous outdoor activity during peak heat, and limit direct sun exposure.
