Brazil's MeetKai selected by Serpro to build sovereign AI platform

The Federal Data Processing Service (Serpro) has appointed MeetKai Brazil as its partner to develop a sovereign artificial‑intelligence system for the Brazilian public sector. The collaboration will combine Serpro's infrastructure with MeetKai's large‑language‑model technology trained in native Brazilian Portuguese, data‑governance tools and intelligent agents.

Alessandro Quattrini, head of management and business at MeetKai, said the firm is ready to provide a secure, legally compliant AI platform that will accelerate the digital transformation of government services while respecting the country's data‑protection law (LGPD). The initiative aims to give Brazil full control over advanced AI models used in public administration, enhancing security, innovation and technological autonomy.
