Parauapebas approves construction of 1,000 social housing units in Flor de Carajás

The municipality of Parauapebas published the adjudication and homologation of Public Call No. 001/2026‑SEHAB on 30 July 2026, confirming the selection of the consortium HORL SPE I – composed of HB20 Construções Ltda. and HORL Engenharia S.A. – to design and build at least 1,000 social‑interest housing units in the Flor de Carajás lot. The units will be allocated to families classified in Faixa 1 and Faixa 2 of the federal Minha Casa Minha Vida program, using resources provided by Law 14.620/2023 and municipal legislation. The homologation was signed by housing secretary Aroldo Leiser de Sena. Following the approval, the municipality will proceed with the required steps with Caixa Econômica Federal and formalize the contract so that construction can begin according to the established schedule, aiming to reduce the local housing deficit and improve residents’ quality of life.
