Brazil's Ministry of Cities allocates up to R$22.8 million for Saltinho road upgrades

The Ministry of Cities released the 45th updated list of pre‑selected proposals under the Avançar CidadesMobilidade Urbana program. The municipality of Saltinho in São Paulo was awarded projects aimed at road qualification and paving, funded with up to R$ 22.8 million from the Fundo de Garantia do Tempo de Serviço (FGTS).

Financing will be provided through the Pró‑Transporte infrastructure scheme with a nominal interest rate of 6 % per year, plus a possible differential of up to 2 % and a credit‑risk margin of up to 1 %. The loan term can extend to 20 years. This selection marks the third stage of the process; municipalities must still submit basic project designs and required documentation before financial agents validate the proposals for final contracting and publication in the official gazette.
