Brazil's Ministry of Education to launch Education Correction Network

The Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) is hosting the 1st Education Correction Network Forum in Fortaleza from September 14 to 18. The event aims to establish the MEC Correction Network through the symbolic signing of an ordinance.

The initiative seeks to integrate correctional units across federal universities and institutes to promote technical cooperation, experience exchange, and the sharing of best practices. A primary goal of the network is to standardize procedures and strengthen actions to prevent and combat moral and sexual harassment within school environments.

Participants include representatives from the Office of the Comptroller General (CGU), leaders from Federal Educational Institutions (IFEs), Andifes, and Conif, alongside specialists in governance and integrity. The forum's agenda covers administrative disciplinary processes, conflict mediation, and the prevention of violence in educational institutions.
