Brazil's National Council of Justice announces 2026 Registry Exam

The National Council of Justice (CNJ) has released the official notice for the 4th National Registry Exam (ENAC), specifically the second edition for 2026. Organized in conjunction with the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), the exam serves as a mandatory qualification for candidates seeking to enter public competitions for notary and registry services in Brazilian states and the Federal District.

Registration is scheduled to take place online via the FGV website from August 31 to September 29, 2026. The registration fee is R$ 150. The exam is planned for November 22, 2026, and will be administered in 27 Brazilian capitals and the Federal District.

The assessment consists of a single stage featuring 100 multiple-choice questions. Notarial and Registry Law will be the primary focus, accounting for 60 questions, alongside other legal subjects such as Civil, Constitutional, Administrative, Tax, and Labor Law. To qualify, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 60%. The resulting qualification certificate will remain valid for six years.
