Brazil's pork production and exports set to rise through 2027
The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) released projections indicating that domestic pork production will increase from 5.592 million tonnes in 2025 to up to 5.870 million tonnes in 2026, a rise of about 5%, and reach roughly 6.050 million tonnes by 2027, adding another 3.1%. Export shipments are expected to grow from 1.510 million tonnes in 2025 to 1.600 million tonnes in 2026 (5.9% increase) and to 1.700 million tonnes in 2027 (6.3% increase).
ABPA President Ricardo Santin said the higher output will boost internal availability, raising domestic pork supply from 4.082 million tonnes in 2025 to about 4.270 million tonnes in 2026 (4.6% rise) and to 4.350 million tonnes in 2027. Per‑capita consumption is projected to climb from 19.1 kg in 2025 to 20 kg in 2026 and 20.4 kg in 2027, reflecting growing demand for pork in Brazil.
