Brazil's poultry sector conducts major technical training on genetics and biosafety

The program reviewed productivity indicators, strategic planning for upcoming production cycles, and updated handling protocols for heavy‑weight breeding hens, emphasizing genetics, ambience, and egg incubation. Aviagen, Vaxxinova and JBS‑Seara held a four‑day knowledge‑sharing event in São José, Santa Catarina, gathering roughly 100 aviculture professionals. The agenda covered practical biosafety measures, reproductive‑stock management, intestinal health, diagnostic tools, and vaccination strategies. Speakers including Rodrigo Tedesco (Aviagen), Gustavo Schaefer (Vaxxinova), Eduardo Souza (Aviagen) and Jean Paulo Contini (JBS‑Seara) stressed the integration of genetics, biosafety and consistent handling practices to improve flock performance and sustain industry standards.
