Brazil's Seara launches clean‑label ready‑meal line targeting R$12 bn market
Seara has entered the ready‑meal segment with a new line of marmitas that use clean‑label ingredients and recipes that mimic home‑cooked dishes. The portfolio, available since May, includes options such as feijoada, shredded chicken, minced beef with vegetables and onion‑sausage, aiming to meet rising consumer demand for convenient yet natural‑feeling meals.
The company estimates Brazil's ready‑meal market at roughly R$12 billion and says the launch is intended to professionalise a segment traditionally dominated by informal operators. CEO João Campos noted the goal is to deliver standardized, high‑quality products at scale, offering consistent taste and quality while satisfying the growing preference for convenient, home‑style food.
