Brazil's Sistema FAEP granted extension to offer specialized transport training

The Paraná State Department of Transit (Detran/PR) has extended the accreditation of the Sistema FAEP until 31 December 2024, allowing it to continue providing formation and refresher courses in specialized transport. The original credentialing was set to expire on 30 June 2024 under Resolução Contran 1.020/2025, which limited authorized entities to the National Transport Learning Service (Senat). After a request for reconsideration, Detran/PR granted a six‑month extension while the FAEP seeks a permanent amendment to the resolution.

FAEP offers courses covering emergency‑vehicle operation, transport of indivisible loads, dangerous‑goods handling (MOPP), and passenger transport. Since 2014, it has delivered 949 courses to more than 15 400 drivers, achieving a 97 % approval rate. The organization emphasizes that its training supports rural drivers who lack easy access to urban centers, contributing to road safety and legal compliance in the countryside.
