Brazil's Sou do Esporte Award 2026 finalists announced

The 11th edition of the Sou do Esporte Award (Foco Radical) released the list of finalists for its 2026 edition. Ten main categories were evaluated, and the award added new categories such as Athlete Military, Athlete Indigenous, Master Athlete, Rodeo Athlete, Sports Documentary and Arenas & Stadiums. A panel of specialists judged the projects, events, campaigns, companies and initiatives on technical quality, social and economic impact, sustainability and legacy.

Popular voting remains open until the end of the month, after which the winners will be revealed on 30 November at a ceremony in Sala São Paulo, broadcast live on BandSports. Fabiana Bentes, president of the Instituto Sou do Esporte, said the prize “evolves with Brazilian sport and aims to give visibility to those who make a difference inside and outside competition.” Marcos Terena, president of the Instituto Memória e Ciência Indígena, highlighted that indigenous sport “preserves our culture, language and territories.”
