Brazil's agricultural exports hit record levels in 2026

Brazil's agribusiness posted multiple export records during 2026. Soybean shipments reached an all‑time high of 69.6 million tonnes in the first half, a 7.1% increase over the same period in 2025. Overall agricultural exports totaled US$87 billion in the first six months, driven by strong performance in meat, soy, cotton and other commodities, with China absorbing 35% of the volume.

In June, Goiás state recorded R$7.27 billion in exports – the second‑largest monthly total on record – led by soybeans (R$3.31 billion) and beef (R$1.04 billion). The state's trade balance posted a surplus of R$4.16 billion.

The ports of Paraná logged a historic 34.44 million tonnes of cargo between January and June, a 0.6% rise over the previous year. Soybean exports from the ports rose 21% to 9.47 million tonnes, while vehicle shipments jumped 66%.

Brazil also achieved a semi‑annual record for pork exports, adding to the broader trend of record‑breaking agricultural trade across the country.
