Brazil's UERJ launches enrollment for 2027 state vestibular exam
The State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) opened registrations on 17 July for the second Qualifying Exam of the 2027 State Vestibular. Applicants must pay a R$ 100 fee by 10 August, and can register online until 7 August. The written test, scheduled for 6 September, will cover language, mathematics, natural sciences and humanities, and will require reading Aluísio Azevedo’s novel O Cortiço.
The Fundação Cecierj’s Social Pre‑Vestibular program announced a free, fully online preparatory course specifically for the UERJ essay stage. Enrollment runs from 20 July to 31 August, with classes beginning on 8 September and continuing through November. The curriculum includes 11 lessons per discipline (biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, languages, history, geography, and writing) and a simulated test, aiming to strengthen reading, interpretation and writing skills for the essay component.
