Brazil's World Cup showdown in Houston triggers safety alert for fans

The Brazilian consulate in Houston issued a security alert ahead of Brazil's second‑stage World Cup match against Japan, warning that thieves are using electronic devices to locate valuables left in vehicles. Fans were advised not to store laptops, phones, documents, bags or other items inside cars and to keep belongings secure.

Brazil’s national team, coached by Carlo Ancelotti, arrived in Houston on Saturday and began training at the Houston Dynamo stadium. For the first time in 15 games under Ancelotti, the coach is expected to repeat the same starting eleven, with the exception of injured forward Raphinha, who remains sidelined. The projected lineup includes Alisson, Danilo, Gabriel Magalhães, Marquinhos, Douglas Santos, Casemiro, Bruno Guimarães, Lucas Paquetá, Rayan, Matheus Cunha and Vinícius Júnior. The knockout match is scheduled for Monday at 14:00 Brasília time.
