Bárbara Betancourt receives Cuba's National Radio Prize

Bárbara Betancourt Abreu has been awarded the 2026 National Radio Prize. The ceremony took place at the José Martí Memorial in Havana and was attended by officials from the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television, the Communist Party of Cuba, and the Union of Journalists of Cuba.

The event coincided with the 104th anniversary of Radio Cubana. During the proceedings, the Central Workers' Union of Cuba presented the ‘Proeza Laboral’ flag to the Cuban Radio System to recognize the dedication of its workers. Other honors included the Raúl Gómez García Distinction, the New Generation Condition, and the Radio Centenary Seal, awarded to various professionals and intellectuals for their contributions to the medium.
