Germany and Switzerland report various violent crimes and fatal accidents

Various criminal incidents and accidents have been reported across Germany and Switzerland. In North Rhine-Westphalia, police addressed multiple knife attacks, including the arrest of a 19-year-old in Cologne for a robbery and assault, and the arrest of a 74-year-old in Mechernich following a stabbing in a café.

In Dortmund-Mengede, two men targeted elderly women using deception; one 90-year-old victim lost cash and jewelry after men posing as tradespeople entered her home. In Achim-Baden, two masked youths stole a smartphone from a 40-year-old man, and in Ottersberg, five individuals were arrested following a violent robbery at a discounter.

Tragic incidents also occurred in Baden-Württemberg and Switzerland. A 24-year-old motorcyclist died in a single-vehicle accident between Crailsheim and Kreßberg after losing control in a curve. Meanwhile, in Aarau, Switzerland, a 22-year-old woman died and five others were injured following gunfire at a techno event. Police in both countries are involved in the investigation.
