BreakingDown 21 fight card announced for Hokkaido event

BreakingDown CEO Mikuru Asakura has announced the full fight card for ‘BreakingDown 21’, scheduled for September 19, 2026, at the Makomanai Sekisui Heim Arena in Hokkaido. The event will feature 35 matches.

A major highlight includes a welterweight MMA bout featuring Elie Kashi, a former JTT head coach seeking to build a professional record to qualify for RIZIN. Kashi’s opponent was changed to former NKB champion Shoya Jagaki after Kazusa Hosokawa withdrew due to injury sustained at a RIZIN event.

Other notable matchups include a bantamweight title tournament featuring Ryotaro Ihara and Yoodie, and a bout between Zen Kurogane and Dai Sasaki. Additionally, the event has secured gold sponsorships from Second Chance, a specialized auto loan provider, and FIRE KIDS, a vintage watch retailer.

Asakura also highlighted several prospects, including Dozer, whom he believes has the potential to compete in major organizations like RIZIN.
