Breast cancer awareness events held in Arkansas and California

Community events aimed at raising breast cancer awareness and funds took place in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Riverside, California.

In Pine Bluff, nearly 500 participants attended the fifth annual Pink Out 5K near the Jefferson Regional Medical Center. The event raised funds for the Jefferson Regional Foundation and its Breast Center locations in Pine Bluff and White Hall. The race featured emotional moments, including winner Dewey Holland celebrating with his wife, Janice, a breast cancer survivor.

In Riverside, the 15th annual ‘Pink on Parade’ was held at Ryan Bonaminio Park near Mt. Rubidoux. The event included a 5K hike and a 1.7K family trek to benefit Pink Ribbon Place, an organization providing no-cost services such as wigs, prostheses, and counseling to those affected by breast cancer. The gathering also featured a classic car show and various family activities.
