Breast Cancer Awareness Initiatives Held in Çair and Malishevë

Various community activities were organized in Çair and Malishevë to mark Pink October, the international month for breast cancer awareness. These initiatives focused on the critical importance of early detection, regular health screenings, and public education to save lives.

In Çair, Mayor Izet Mexhiti participated in an educational session at Ismail Qemali elementary school alongside Dr. Ilir Ismail. The event emphasized that health awareness is a shared responsibility between institutions and society, with the municipality pledging continued support for health education programs.

In Malishevë, a traditional walk was organized by the Office for Gender Equality in collaboration with the Directorate for Health and Social Welfare and the Primary Health Care Center. The event included local officials, police representatives, and students, all aiming to encourage women to seek medical advice and prioritize regular health checks.
