Breast cancer awareness initiatives held in Kalavryta and Lefkada

Breast cancer prevention and awareness campaigns were recently conducted in Kalavryta and Lefkada as part of Pink October activities.

In Kalavryta, the Kalavryta Cultural Association organized a two-day event on October 24–25, 2026, in collaboration with the Alma Zois Association of Achaia. The initiative included clinical examinations by mastologist Charalambos Vitsas at the General Hospital of Kalavryta to encourage early diagnosis. The event also featured community participation from local hiking and walking groups.

In Lefkada, the Lefkada Chamber of Commerce organized an awareness march starting from Agios Minas Square. Participants, including local business owners and volunteers, distributed informative materials and promotional items throughout the central market to emphasize the importance of prevention and early detection.
