Breathedge becomes free on Steam ahead of Breathedge 2 Early Access

Developer RedRuins Softworks and publisher HypeTrain Digital have made the space survival adventure game 'Breathedge' available for free on Steam for a limited 48-hour period. This promotional giveaway coincides with the release of an Early Access reveal trailer for the upcoming sequel, 'Breathedge 2'.

The sequel is scheduled to enter Early Access on August 31, 2026. The new trailer showcases gameplay set in an area called "The Outskirts," featuring survival mechanics such as scavenging wreckage, using a grappling tool to manipulate objects, and repairing space stations while encountering robots and aliens. The developers noted they are preparing for significant player engagement following the sequel's release.
