Brecon area sees new commercial planning applications
Various planning applications have been submitted to the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority regarding commercial developments in the Brecon area.
In Sennybridge, Andrew Davies of AV Plant Limited has filed retrospective plans for The White House Hotel. The proposal seeks to formalize the use of a nearly 4,800 square meter site to include a beer garden on a greenfield area, a toilet block, a covered walkway, decking, and a car park extension. The application aims to ensure the long-term viability of the pub.
Additionally, a proposal has been lodged to convert a former HSBC Bank building on Brecon’s High Street into a restaurant with an upstairs dwelling. The Grade II listed building would undergo a “no-works” change of use, meaning no external alterations, demolitions, or internal operational developments are planned. The project intends to bring the underused listed building back into productive occupation and support the town centre as a visitor hub.
