Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge registration opens for 2026

Registration is now open for the 18th annual Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge (BCBC), a major live-money handicapping tournament for Thoroughbred racing. The competition will take place during the two-day Breeders' Cup World Championships on October 30-31, 2026, at the Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky.

The tournament winner will be determined by the highest accumulated bankroll at the end of the event. The total cash prize pool is expected to reach $1.5 million, assuming a minimum of 600 participants. Entry requires a $2,500 buy-in and a $7,500 betting bankroll, totaling $10,000 per player.

Participants can compete from Keeneland, the official satellite location at Santa Anita Park in California, or through various online wagering partners. The tournament is open to horseplayers across North America.
