Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) opened their Ligue 1 title defense with a 2-2 draw against Stade Rennais at Roazhon Park. The match was moved from the Parc des Princes due to pitch conditions.

Rennes took a commanding 2-0 lead in the first half with goals from Sebastian Szymanski in the 9th minute and Esteban Lepaul in the 38th minute. PSG struggled to control the game early on, with several chances by Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia failing to materialize.

Following halftime, manager Luis Enrique made decisive substitutions, bringing on Ferran Torres and Mika Godts. Torres, making his official debut for the club, scored twice in 11 minutes to rescue a point. His first goal came in the 71st minute following an assist from Fabian Ruiz, and he completed the comeback in the 82nd minute with a header, also assisted by Ruiz.

Despite the comeback, Luis Enrique expressed frustration with the team's performance, describing the result as “desastroso” due to the difficulty in controlling the match rhythm. However, he praised the impact of the substitutes and the quality of the new signings.
