Breidablik defeats FK Csikszereda 8-1 in Europa Cup

Breidablik secured a dominant 8-1 victory over FK Csikszereda in the first leg of the Europa Cup preliminary round. The match, held at Eikarvellur, saw the Icelandic champions take control early with a 5-0 lead by halftime.

Sunna Rún Sigurðardóttir led the scoring with a hat-trick, while Úlfa Dís Kreye Úlfarsdóttir contributed two goals in the opening minutes. Other goals were scored by Líf Joostdóttir van Bemmel, Kristín Dís Árnadóttir, and Hrafnhildur Ása Halldórsdóttir.

FK Csikszereda recorded their first-ever goal in a senior European competition through Csilla Balázs in the 79th minute. The second leg of the matchup is scheduled to take place on September 2 at the Stadion Municipal in Miercurea Ciuc.
