Breitling Launches Aston Martin DB5‑Inspired Top Time Chronograph
Breitling has introduced a new limited‑edition Top Time B01 Chronograph 41 watch that draws design cues from the classic Aston Martin DB5. The partnership, first forged on the set of the 1965 James Bond film *Thunderball*, is highlighted by a wooden inner bezel mimicking the car’s steering wheel, a hand‑dyed leather strap, and a 70‑hour power reserve powered by the Manufacture Breitling Calibre 01 movement. Three versions are offered: a steel model limited to 1,022 pieces, a steel‑and‑platinum version capped at 315, and an 18‑karat red‑gold flagship. Executives Georges Kern of Breitling and Marek Reichman of Aston Martin emphasized the collaboration’s focus on shared craftsmanship and timeless design.
The collection is positioned as a bridge between automotive aesthetics and horological function, targeting collectors who value both heritage and technical precision.
