Breitling launches limited Top Time B01 watch tribute to Aston Martin DB5
Swiss watchmaker Breitling has released a limited‑edition Top Time B01 Chronograph 41 that pays homage to the iconic Aston Martin DB5 sports car, famously used by James Bond. The 41 mm watch features a COSC‑certified Breitling B01 in‑house movement, 70‑hour power reserve and 100 m water resistance, with a transparent case back displaying the calibre.
Three versions are offered: a stainless‑steel model with a silver dial (1,022 pieces, USD 34,200), a steel‑plus‑platinum variant with a black dial (315 pieces, USD 51,400), and an 18K red‑gold case with a black onyx dial (250 pieces, USD 131,100). Design cues include a wooden inner ring echoing the car’s steering wheel and a brown calf‑skin strap that mirrors the DB5’s leather interior. The collaboration follows Breitling’s 2020 partnership with Aston Martin, which also produced a Navitimer B01 for the Formula 1 team.
Georges Kern, CEO of Universal Genève, said the DB5 “remains timeless,” while Aston Martin’s creative director Marek Reichman highlighted the watch as “a perfect blend of heritage and modern engineering.”
