Breitling releases limited‑edition Top Time B01 chronographs honoring the Aston Martin DB5
Breitling has unveiled a new three‑model collection of Top Time B01 Chronograph 41 watches that pay tribute to the iconic 1963 Aston Martin DB5. The partnership draws on the car’s appearance in the 1965 James Bond film *Thunderball*, when Sean Connery wore a Breitling Top Time Ref. 2002 alongside the DB5. All three editions incorporate design cues from the car – a wooden inner ring echoing the DB5’s steering wheel, gradient‑dyed leather straps reminiscent of its upholstery, and “squircle” sub‑dials inspired by classic dashboard gauges.
The range includes: • A stainless‑steel case with a silver dial, limited to 1,022 pieces. • A steel case with a platinum bezel and black‑lacquered dial, limited to 315 pieces. • An 18‑carat red‑gold case with a natural onyx dial, limited to 250 pieces – the first onyx dial used by Breitling.
Each watch is powered by Breitling’s in‑house Calibre 01 automatic chronograph movement, COSC‑certified with a 70‑hour power reserve. The collection is scheduled for release in July 2026 and is marketed as a collector’s item merging automotive heritage with high‑end horology.
