Breitling vintage watch becomes highlight on Bares für Rares

A vintage Breitling Premier watch, dating from approximately 1953 or 1954, was featured on the German television program “Bares für Rares” on November 3, 2026. The timepiece, which features a stainless steel case and a Venus 178 manual-winding caliber, has been held by the owners' family for three generations.

Despite the watch stopping during the appraisal process, expert Sven Deutschmanek noted that smaller vintage models are currently in high demand. The watch features three sub-dials and a tachymeter scale, though it lacks its original packaging. The owners, Daniel and Melanie from Wuppertal, decided to sell the heirloom because they found the dial size too small for their personal taste.
