Brembo and Cadillac announce new high-performance automotive developments

Brembo has introduced BOLDIKA, a new six-piston fixed aluminum brake caliper designed specifically for the heavy-duty SUV and pickup truck segment. The component features a unique three-piece construction, utilizing a cast iron center bridge to increase rigidity and stability while maintaining a lighter weight than full iron alternatives. Capable of producing over 8,500 Nm of braking torque, the BOLDIKA is slated for its initial launch on the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV RST Stars and Steel Edition.

Separately, Cadillac is considering the production of the V-One hypercar concept. Based on the V-Series.R endurance racing prototype and featuring a Dallara chassis, the concept utilizes a 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 paired with a hybrid system. While racing regulations limit the prototype to 670 horsepower, the V-One concept is capable of reaching 830 horsepower. Production would depend on sufficient demand from high-end collectors.
