Bremen senior, 103, drives out impostor water workers

On Friday afternoon in Bremen's Seewenjestraße, three men posing as water‑works technicians entered the flat of a 103‑year‑old resident. They claimed they needed to perform water‑supply work and one accompanied the woman into the bathroom while the others searched the apartment. Realising the situation was suspicious, the woman shouted for them to leave, grabbed the man in the bathroom by the neck and forced all three intruders out.

The police are now seeking witnesses. The suspects are described as male, about 30‑40 years old, 1.70‑1.80 m tall, wearing dark clothing; one wore a two‑tone cap and another had dark clothes with colourful trim. No stolen items have been reported, but the woman suffered shock and was placed under the care of her caretaker.
