German courts oversee various robbery and theft trials

Several criminal cases are progressing through the German court system, involving robberies and thefts across different regions.

In Hamburg, the Landgericht sentenced three Serbian nationals to several years in prison for a brutal robbery of a 71-year-old goldsmith in Langenhorn. The perpetrators used a tracker to monitor the victim's wife and slashed tires to facilitate the attack. The robbery resulted in the theft of jewelry and precious stones worth over 176,000 euros and caused the victim to suffer a heart attack.

In Heilbronn, a trial has commenced regarding a million-euro bank heist at a Kreissparkasse in Güglingen. Prosecutors allege that a 23-year-old man and accomplices emptied nearly 80 safety deposit boxes, stealing approximately three million euros in cash and jewelry. The defense has rejected the charges, citing a lack of physical evidence and alleging investigative failure.

Other notable incidents include a theft in Bremen, where two men used a distraction method involving nails to steal company cash from a 19-year-old's car in a parking garage. Additionally, in the Verden district, a court recently ruled on a five-year-old case involving the theft of 30,000 euros worth of power tools, where one defendant received no punishment due to significant personal rehabilitation.
