Liverpool defeats Brentford 2-1 in Premier League comeback

Liverpool secured a 2-1 comeback victory against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium in a Premier League match marked by significant disciplinary issues. Brentford took an early lead in the 44th minute through a Keane Lewis-Potter header, assisted by Igor Thiago.

The momentum shifted dramatically in first-half stoppage time when Brentford's Yehor Yarmoliuk received a straight red card following a VAR review for a headbutt on Jeremy Jacquet. Liverpool capitalized on the numerical advantage in the second half. Victor Munoz equalized in the 62nd minute following a pass from Florian Wirtz, and Alexander Isak scored the winning goal in the 70th minute.

Brentford's difficulties intensified in injury time when Vitaly Janelt was also sent off, leaving the hosts with only nine players for the final minutes. The win moves Liverpool up to fifth place in the Premier League standings with 12 points, while Brentford remains at 10 points.
