Brentford reports man for kicking rugby ball onto pitch from rooftop

During a Premier League match between Brentford and Liverpool on October 17, a man kicked a rugby ball from a rooftop into the Gtech Community Stadium. Video footage circulating on social media shows a man on a nearby building kicking the ball toward the pitch while bystanders cheered.

Brentford officials described the incident as ‘dangerous and potentially very harmful,’ noting that the ball landed near the field of play and had to be removed by staff. The club reported the matter to the police and is cooperating with authorities to identify the individual responsible. The club stated that the incident could lead to criminal prosecution and emphasized that the safety of fans, players, and staff is their highest priority.

The ball is believed to have been kicked from the Memento Kew Bridge apartment complex, which overlooks the stadium. No injuries were reported during the incident.
