Brentford rout Birmingham City 6-1 in EFL Cup
Brentford secured a place in the next round of the EFL Cup with a dominant 6-1 victory over Birmingham City at St Andrew's.
Callum Wilson opened the scoring for Brentford in the 6th minute. Although Birmingham City's Demarai Gray equalized in the 28th minute, Brentford responded quickly with goals from Aaron Hickey and Nathan Collins before halftime.
In the second half, Jaidon Anthony played a pivotal role, providing a hat-trick of assists. Mikkel Damsgaard scored in the 70th minute, followed by Igor Thiago in the 73rd minute. Nathan Collins completed his brace in the 77th minute to finalize the scoreline.
