Brentwood residents report years of public indecency and threats

Residents of the Brentwood neighborhood in Los Angeles report that a woman has been using public sidewalks as a bathroom for several years. The situation has reportedly escalated from public indecency to physical threats against community members.

One resident, Wendy Kush, described a terrifying encounter where the woman allegedly lunged at her and threatened to kill her while Kush was walking with her daughter and dogs. Video footage has captured the woman squatting near the intersection of Goshen and Barrington Avenues.

Local residents have expressed frustration, noting that previous attempts to provide assistance were unsuccessful because the woman refused services. The office of Councilmember Traci Park has acknowledged the ongoing mental health issues on the streets and has requested support from the County Mental Health Department. The Los Angeles Police Department has also been notified of the incidents.
