Brescello hosts Parva Mundi festival celebrating Guareschi legacy

Various cultural and traditional events are taking place across Italy from September 18 to 20, 2026.

In Brescello, the Parva Mundi festival celebrates the legacy of author Giovannino Guareschi and his famous characters, Don Camillo and Peppone. The event features historical reenactments, including a football match between the Dinamo and Gagliarda teams, a procession for the blessing of the Po River, and a commemoration of the 1946 elections to mark 80 years of women's suffrage.

Other regional highlights include the Lacrima in giallo noir festival in Morro d’Alba, the FantastikA illustration biennale in Dozza, and the Festa dell’uva in Vo’. In Bologna, activities range from the Barbie Couture exhibition to the Bologna Marathon in Trail, while Imola hosts medieval reenactments and corn-husking traditions. Milan is hosting the Visioni dal Mondo international documentary festival and Beauty Week 2026.
