Brescia Castle Elevator Access Road Closed for One-Week Works
The access road to the new elevator at Brescia’s historic castle will be closed from July 16 to July 23 to allow relocation of underground services. Pedestrian traffic will be permitted on the existing sidewalk, while vehicle traffic is diverted. Bus line 6 and the summer shuttle linking San Faustino metro station to the castle will operate on a temporary terminus at Piazza Battisti, with service resuming to the castle on July 24.
The accelerated schedule, achieved through cooperation between A2A and the municipality, shortens the originally planned two‑week shutdown to seven days, minimizing disruption for residents and visitors.
