Brescia launches Brixia Street Hoops basketball tournament

The city of Brescia will host the Brixia Street Hoops 2026, a six‑team basketball tournament organized by a group of young athletes in partnership with Cus Brescia Basket and under the patronage of the municipal government. The competition runs on June 24, 26, 27, 29 and July 1, with a final scheduled for Saturday, July 4. Teams – Team Centro, Hinterland, Garda, Iseo, Valtrompia and Bassa – are drawn from different zones of the province to showcase local talent and territorial identity.

Matches will begin with a group‑stage round‑robin followed by playoffs. Games feature two 15‑minute halves instead of the traditional four 10‑minute quarters, aiming to keep the action engaging for spectators while promoting participation, integration and community pride.
